There are a lot of people who are scared. There are a lot of people who are young and old who have to stop and think about their chances of heart disease. You will want to talk to your doctor and allow them to help you with your concerns. For those who have already had a heart attack or stroke, it may be too late to ask some of these questions, but you most likely have your own questions that need answered. Heart disease is such a scary thought. Not only do you have to stop and think about what could happen, but what your natural risk for heart disease is. Keep in mind that you will not catch heart disease by sitting next to someone with the disease and you can't give it to someone. However, there is some genetically proof to it all, you will want to stop and think about yourself and what your natural risk means. Talk to your doctor.

The first question that you should ask is for the symptoms, so you know. The truth is that if you are man you may not see any symptoms, however, women are more likely to see the symptoms. Your doctor will be able to answer this question and will give you some reading material to look over.

You should also ask about how reliable the testing is for heart disease diagnosing. You should feel comfortable knowing that the tests are mostly accurate, however, depending on the test, it may not read or show anything until months later. This means that you will need to accept the readings of the tests, but also stay on the defense with heart disease. You should continuously think about what you can do to prevent it.

Also, you should ask about treatments. Some of the treatments are as simple as talking a pill, however, others are simply treatments that need a little bit more medical attention. You will need to get surgery if you have had a heart attack. A lot of people today are having the pacemaker or defibulator placed into their bodies in order to have a normal functioning heart.

For those who have not had any signs of heart disease like high blood pressure, you will want to talk to your doctor about things that you can continue to do for yourself. You will find that your doctor will ask you to watch what you eat and exercise more. You will also want to pursue things in your life that means more to your heart. You will need to ask yourself rather or not you are happy and go out and do everything that you always wanted to do, however, watch the strain that you put on your heart. Meaning, don't gain a lot of weight or think you can jump out a plane at 60. It is important that you have age appropriate fun.
