Place To Consider Moving To After Retirement

Something that a lot of people will do after retirement is move. They will not only move into retirement homes and units, but they will move to places that are nice to be when you retire. You will have all the scenery and such, but you will also have to deal with things like low taxes and such to help you live comfortably all year long.

The first place that you will want to consider is Walla Walla, Washington. This place is great for those who would like to do wine tasting and tours all year long. This place is also very nice for the fact that you are in the middle of Washington and surrounded by peaceful escapes. You could get a place that feels like paradise when you take on Washington state in general. The weather is mild and perfect. You don't have to worry about a thing. As for taxes, you will find that it is decent for a city of this magnitude. You will also be able to find affordable living conditions for those who love the big city, but need a break from the chaos.

Then there is St. Simons Island in Georgia. You will want to think about this place as a retirement home or get-a-way because you will be able to be in a retirement community, but also find the beauty in a tropical or beach area. You will be able to live here year long and the taxes in Georgia are not as bad as some places, but it does have a maximum income tax (six percent on income over $10,000). Again, you will find that the homes are rising in price, but they are beautiful homes in the middle of this beach area. Also, you will find that the weather can be a concern, since you do have the risk of hurricanes on the coast.

For those who would like to live a little bit higher up, you will find that Prescott, Arizona is the place to be. You will be able to enjoy golf course after golf course, and you will also be able to make a great life for yourself. This could even be a perfect place to own a second home. You will be able to expand your life experiences by being closer to the desert and golf courses. The weather is nice for those who have trouble breathing, because it's a drier place.

Holland, Michigan is also a nice choice for retirement spots. You will be able to enjoy plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, as well as, the beautiful scenery. You will find that sidewalks and streets are heated so that the snow will simply melt. You will also find that there are many things that you can do that will make you feel comfortable and right at home.

Then, of course, there is Williamsburg, Virginia. For those who are not aware of what this place is like, you will find that it is one of the most beautiful places to visit and live. It is very old world and still likes like the original town from the 1700's. It is a colonial town and there are plenty of worldly things to discover throughout Virginia.
